#fridayfotofiction – Him.

“You can’t love me,you can’t talk about me and you certainly will not search me if I am gone”

“You mean, when you are gone” , she corrected him

He frowned. Did she even understand what he had just said , he wondered.

As if reading his mind, she smiled and typed a little more

“You can not stop me from loving you ,rest I will promise to follow. But am telling you, this is not the last time you will hear from me”and then she logged out from that id forever. She knew he would delete his account immediately.

*

Years later she published a book and her interviews filled the papers. He smiled looking at her photograph. He would have to read the book; she was bound to write about him, to him.

Design flaw #fridayfotofiction

“What are you looking at”

“Your life chart”

“Is my life so complicated that you need a board to map my fate?”

“No. I made it simple enough for you to follow, but you decided to corrupt the design”

“Well, get on with it then. I do not have much time before the next meeting”

“I know. And that’s the problem. I cannot figure how you survived so long.”

“What does that even mean?”

“Ah! Found it. I set the threshold too low. This should work”

“Threshold for what.. “ , the man stopped saying as he saw multiple possibilities revolve around him like doors of various shape and colours.

God smiled at his creation. What would the man do without a decent imagination?

Walking away ? #FridayFotofiction

two friends

It was becoming less frequent from an year but it still happened. One day he would be smiling at everyone and the next , he would be back to the hill. Sitting at the corner , he too knew he should not be this close to the mouth of the valley. Hell, he should not be here at all. But , this was a constant struggle in his head. Today, the call of the mountains won.

That’s when he saw a familiar figure walking towards him.

“What took you so long ? Another minute and I was walking away”

“The teashop owner told me you ordered two cups”

He did not know how, but his best friend was always there to take him out if his mood swings. He smiled as he was led back to sanity.

Vision #FridayfotoFiction

She was born blind to parents who left her. Her hands though did more than that. She would feel a face and read it. People said she had visions of the future. When asked, she would say she only saw the past when she touched someone and there is nothing which truly shows what future hold for you. It did not happen in a flash though. She took days, sometimes weeks to respond to a person once she had the vision.

One day, her hands started shaking. The visions became black screen. Her eyes saw the world in all its glory and then she collapsed.

I saw you

Previous part of the story here

“Quite a perky response, I must say.
I was expecting nothing, to be honest.

Naam to pata chal gaya hoga ..
( You know my name by now, I suppose)

The response popped on her desktop , distracting her for a second. She smiled , Sahil , she thought in her head and went back to work. As the sky outside turned from blue to black and lights came up over her head, she wondered if the morning email needed to be replied. Finally, she thought of not acting like an oddball and giving it some rest. Next morning, there was a new email from Sahil –

It is a notably good morning. I think I saw you in the bus today.

Friend in need

Part 1

Part 2

***

Will it hurt your ego if I say,
I was trying to lighten the mood?
I do not even know where you are,
just thought to hypothetically check,
how willing are you, if asked for help !

She laughed at her silly attempt at rhyming and sent the email on its way to the stranger’s mailbox. The whole day passed in a blur. Later in the evening , she wrote another poem on the blog , this time about the friendships born out of need of the hour. Before logging out , she checked there were 10 new comments on the blog. Some guy Sahil had commented on all her recent poems. the last comment was on the latest poem –

“Friends in need, often are friends indeed. Even strangers can be well wishers”

Sahil .. She read the name aloud and smiled. The stranger had finally identified himself !
