Lasting impressions

Every other night she would wake up, sweating and breathing hard. She exactly knows the reason behind this, but can not control her actions. And every such night she feels guilty for ever being touched by him.  He,the caring cousin who fondeled her childhood with his unchecked hormonal drive and triggered her sick dreams.

It's not the dramas or the stories, but actually the people touched by them who taught me how to appreciate these stories, the different medium of expressions, and how to believe that even fictional characters can give hope and smile to so many people around the world. A reader first and obsessive reviewer of things I love, I write when I am deeply touched by a story or a moment. You can find most of my ideas and thoughts first expressed on Twitter - @i_read_write

  1. Ouchhh.. Sad..
I know of many such stories! Everything seems to be right at a proper time- just not anytime. I hope it’s only a fiction here!

    Nice weekend lady
    Love xx

  2. Lady Nimue….
    Sickening subject matter.
    Powerful and emotional 55.
    Very well done.
Thanks for playing, and have a Kick Ass Week-End…G

  3. Ohhhh damn!! Abuse can leave a lasting impression on the mind of the abused! A horrible one at that!!

Well expressed here, Nimu… your words left a dent in my heart…

  4. nimue, it’s so well said. I go through many verses to say what you said in this flash. Sometimes girls don’t remember for years; when it starts in early childhood, one represses it. That happened to me, and it was my own father. Thank God for therapy, for TM, for anything to help set those memories packing…

Thank you for this. Wish no one, boy or girl, had to endure it. Amy Barlow Liberatore
