Elemental Thoughts

When the Air burns hot
with hateful words and feel;
realize the need of silence
and swallow the Fire within.

drowning into the Earth
of some unreasonable talks,
pretend to keep your cool
even if in Water(tears) you walk.

The world should never know
the earth that you stand upon;
nor they should ever see
the waters where dreams grow.

Shatter all prejudices alone
with the fire that burns inside
make sure you carry yourself well
like petals on the winds worldwide.

    An interesting poem in light of the situation that happened with Tyler Clementi an amazing musician snuffed out by prejudice.
    Sadly our world is still not ready to live in a state of love and acceptance. their are those whose conceit and pride hurt the gentle soul

    Inspiring! Like the whole poem and the image, but that last stanza is most striking for its sentiment of dignity and import.

    Excellent words to live by, and so agree with Leslie. Sadly our world will always contain some that still hold a hatred in their soul.
    Beautifully written “Shatter all prejudices alone” something to really take into ourselves as individuals. ~April

  6. love the picture and also how you start it…When the Air burns hot
    with hateful words and feel;
    realize the need of silence…so true and yet so difficult – great one shot!

  7. Stop the hate, anyway you can; the better our communications the more effective it is to destroy the tender, the vulnerable, the disenfranchised. Your message here resonates in a world where children are murdered or driven to suicide by taunts and bullying. Beautifully and forcefully written. Thank you,
