A lovely scarecrow haiku
“Some paper and sticks”
Even though a scarecrow may seem to be insubstantial, it has the marvelous ability to stimulate our imaginations!
Scarecrow
lovely, just lovely
The simplicity of this haiku-duplex is it’s attraction. Lovely.
May the scarecrow guard get what he wishes!
Wish Upon a Petal
Sometimes things aren’t as they appear, or perhaps shoud be. Such is much of life.
Scarecrow’s have always fascinated me for their simple nature yet ability to so powerfully influence their environment, I think you’ve captured that very well here! Thanks for joining in at Two Shoes Tuesday!
Cool.

Hi Nimue,
I really like this Haiku and what it is saying. I feel that for many generations there has always been someone to guard what is passed on to each generation. The scarecrow guard could be a librarian or just the person in each family who is tasked to pass this information on to each new generation. Before books came along the stories had to be memorized and verbally passed on to each generation. We have it so easy in this day and age and yet somehow I think we are losing the importance of this knowledge staying in families. It is good that people like you write about the importance of guarding this information. This is the best way to let the younger ones know about their families faith and history.
Thank you so much for your patience while I am slowly getting to visit everyone.
God bless and Happy New Year.
