she : my poetry

Once she slept,
undisturbed,
uncalled,
unknown.

the echo to my voice
subdued by time
waiting for
one spark.

*His words lit the fire
paved the way
in 41 steps
she won.

Proudly she cheered
my every word
each tiny mark
of my mind.

On canvas of life
she swirled
and rained
like colors.

On an empty heart
she created castle
and prince
and farewell.

In fabric of time
she shone brightly
like my owned
rubies.

she was once forgotten
today she forgets
what I was before
who I would be next.

She , the ultimate poetry,
she the everlasting,
she the beauty,
I bow to thee.

This post was prompted @ dVerse where the idea was to write about poetry. This is the story how my voice , my poetry gained a foothold in my life.

* Refers to my poetry mentor who inspired me with writing 41 poems one day. And every one was as brilliant as the previous one :)

  1. That was a beautiful tribute to your mentor :)
And 41 poems in a day!! Wow doing that would require quite a lot of effort!

With your blog and beautiful words you are one of my poetry mentors and inspire me to write. Thanks a ton :)

  2. Ahh.. what is this life without poetry. Yours is lovely. I was entranced by the dance of words as each stanza fell into the next seamlessly. I really liked all of the but, the last stanza was perfection.
Thanks for visiting me too :)
