The way I am

 All those years
all i wished most
all the time, was
to be like you
to not feel you
to be another you
not realizing
not understanding
not thinking about
the price on its head
the pain that change gets
the void that now remains
am not me anymore,will never be
am not bothered,but miss it much
am broken not but encaged by own thoughts.

And now the poem in spotlight today.  I first read this poem here and am glad i remembered it to share with you :

 

Phenomenal Woman 

Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I’m not cute or built to suit a fashion model’s size
But when I start to tell them,
They think I’m telling lies.
I say,
It’s in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.

I walk into a room
Just as cool as you please,
And to a man,
The fellows stand or
Fall down on their knees.
