Songs we make

A line from you,
the next from me,
a word you forget,
and expect me to fill in

The spoon hits the mug
in a rhythm you devise
a tune plays on my lips
you approve it with smiles

I fill in more sounds
you stare at me shocked
suddenly fingers drum
nothing holding the flow.

A collective sigh escapes
our collaborative songs
linger  somewhere
in the dream we wove.

  3. Synchronized minds, an orchestra of emotions. Two beings sub-merged in fluid chemistry.

    Beautiful piece.

    Yours sincerely,
    Philharmonic poet.

Health and happiness to you and yours.

  4. Dearest Lady Nimue, :)

Thank you kindly for visiting my poetry blog! I am returning the favor by also visiting you here on your blog (for the purpose of strengthening the poetic/writing community as well!).

I really enjoyed the rhythm of your poem. You brought on a good point in that there is music ALL AROUND us if we keep on listening, including the most mundane things in our lives. Thank you for writing this piece. :)

    Blessings to you,

    Lotus
