Tears

To let out the pain;
Ease the tension in brain;
Accept my weakness;
Retrieve the strength;’cause
Soon I must overcome it all.

June was the month when i was going through no-joys-all-sorrows phase of year 2010. And being the person i am, i admit i give into disappointments too easily although i do not let them rule my head for long. This post is a reminder of the fact that sorrows do not last, but when you get them as company, do not feel ashamed to be weak at times.

My friend in delhi

There was a time i did not live in NCR. And that time, only friend i had in delhi was him. So this tag !! He is one of the reason that september is special to me (other reason being my mother’s b’day).

Words do not define how i feel about him or what he means to me - All i know is that he is one of the few friends who like me the way i am , who will stand with me no matter what i do, who has always managed to not lose me in the crowd , who has fought with me so i do not forget him ever, who has listened my woes at 3 am, who did not hang up even when i called him “coz i did not want to be alone when i cried” !

This is for you my dear -

Just
you
define
so perfectly
how friendship should be
you must love,fight,forgive,love more
if you really desire
to keep close
some one
you
like.

Thank you for not just teaching me this lesson but also living it for me ! Hope i do not let you down any day !!

Dedication

This post is a way to express my unsaid feelings for few people. So i dedicate this to following special ones in my life :

One who made me laugh so much to make me forget a bad day,

One who made me cry so much that i was empty of pain;

One who listened to me so well that i felt all important

One who refused to acknowledge me,adding to my strength;

One who wiped my silent tear, gathering my battered soul

One who turned his back on me,it lead me to newer hopes.

One who loved, cared, loves and will always try to be so

Also to those who made me weak, remember i still love you all.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011 TO YOU ALL !

Do something

Do something
Do something you love
Do something you love to do;
Do something you love to do; do it !
Do something you love to do; do it, just for you.
Do something you love to do; do it,without expecting
Do something you love to do; without expecting others
Do something you love, without expecting others to be a part of.
Do something, without expecting others to be a part of that act.
Do something for yourself; And you got a manifesto for happiness.

Only a night..

When words failed to educate,
with silence did i try to object;
When tears failed to communicate,
with smiles did i try to fill the recess;
Only a night from old to new,
I severed all my ties with you.
When you failed to change your path
with a sigh did i give another try
When you failed to make it last,
with a broken heart i did cry.
Tainted freedom was what you gave
instead of dreams of a love filled place

I never did tell

did i ever tell
how good even chaos was
when you were with me

*
when you were with me
i invited chaos to my life
to keep you away

*
to keep you away
i acted mean and helpless
did i ever tell

*
did i ever tell
i treated love like a sin
when you were with me

*
when you were with me
i sinned in love and lust
to keep you away

*
to keep you away
happenned undesired
did i ever tell !

Dedicated to one of the best friend i had and whom i let go every other month, yet never really losing hope he might return.A haiku poetry to the one who hates haikus !

Love-ly Month

“Love is in the air”
you can feel it yourself
EVERY WHERE
more in feb,than any time
for all the sweet days
that fall in line -
start with a rose,
and a choclate then,
hug your love close
and kiss for the next,
All this comes,
before the fourteenth -
and how special that is,
do i need to tell you this ?

(The words in bold are the actual days celebrated in month of Feb.)

was-Dec-is

seed and spread the idea(s)
you get lots to read and write;
go on an adventure with friends
and that i saw in 3-D Narnia.

bid farewell to a friend you made
with memories treasured in the heart
to see my best gal being happy again
i could not have asked a better start.

But not all was to go as i wanted it
there were in store unthought things
some unexplainable events and people
made sure life not be termed as routine.

And there are bit of sad things too
like the laptop that doesnt work,
or the memory of some special
that comes and hit me on its own term.

Also there is the grand vacation plan,
that i have been waiting for so long
and anticipated joys, smiles and laughs
which i intend to bring back along.

I know not what next days would be like
or how i would be as the year ends
all i know is that i have lots of blessings
and i would be thankful for the ruling trends.

Good and bad, bad and worse, bad and better
thats all of what this year has been to me
and i end this with a heartfelt thanks
to the friends who joined me on this journey.

Knitted Shoes

Each summer vacations she would come

winters being her time to cater to aches -

feet, heart, joints and maybe the tired soul;

and so she came each may, loaded with love

and the candies, bitter sweet tales from village -

births, deaths, illness, festivals and gossips too.

but what i awaited was her knitting needles

oh what fun it was to see her spin her magic -

in any color i want ; even in more than one.

the first thing she made was the woollen shoes

one toe and four fingers fused into one space -

perfect to fit the heels when i run without sandal.

Each winter a new pair, its tales told next summer

each year a new foot size, and a new age for her -

And then i stopped wearing those shoes anymore.

not that i did not like them as much as a kid

not that i did not feel the cold trouble my toes -

but i just left it without another thought.

She can not travel each summer any more

and i do not go to meet her as regularly

but my granny still knits – for my kids maybe.

Blessing in disguise

His enthusiasm was scary
but the smile so charming
His praises sounded dreamy
but the way he said was sweet.

He confused her with his ways
yet amazed her with his wit
He challenged her thoughts
without ever demanding it.

He opened the doors for her
to the world she longed to see
but had marked as forbidden
for reasons unknown to be.

He wasn’t the first or the best
of people she liked in her life
but he sure brought to her
the joys she has lost to time.

God send for you his angels
in forms and ways we know not,
but the blessings be felt as friends,
irrespective how you come across.

Changes

Memories in heart

Dreams in the eyes

Wish i had known

Wish to know more

Demands to forget

Desires to remember

Hurt feelings

Curious emotions

One January i fought

Other i tried to love

was happy to let go

too scared to hold

another one approaches,

but this time,

no dreams no memories

i promise.

Beginning or end ?

On stake
was Love,
Friendship,
joys shared,
tears wiped,
fights fought,
woven dreams,
plucked egos,
garnished desires,
scrubbed angers,
yet she had to
move on now,
for that’s what
they together
wrote in the book
of their life -
the first chapter
was of farewell,
last chapter awaits
if they survived the first.
